Culture & Diversity

I spent many years working in International projects where I experienced cultural immersion. Learning how to live outside of my comfort zone and overcoming feelings of isolation and difference have made me who I am today. I hold a degree in Participatory Community Development. My role entailed assisting communities to identify their strengths and weaknesses as a collective and helping them to formulate tools and solutions for improved livelihoods.
I continue to travel in order to pursue cultural experiences independent from my career. My latest adventures have lead me to South America and I am currently volunteering with conservation and environmental groups in the Andes mountains of Ecuador.
I truly believe that the only way to fight prejudice, discrimination and hate in the world is by encountering people from different backgrounds on a personal level. I have valuable relationships with people from diverse demographics. My compassion and empathy extend to people regardless of race, gender, economic class, sexual orientation, physical ability, religion, age, or national identity.
